This 4-storey commercial building was abandoned for over 30 years, been flooded and had no electricity or water systems. Now has been transformed into this bright airy hostel in Bangrak area. The owner likes Minimal design, so we keep everything simple yet detail oriented. Things we put into the space are only what matters and no extravaganza. The most ‘luxurious‘ thing we designed and made for this project is a timber bench on the second floor. There is ‘personal balcony’ on the top floor where sun and rain has access to the space but eyes from across the street are not allowed. We strongly believe that pure nature like wood, the sun, the rain are most luxurious things no man can produce. So we don’t have to do much as the nature will speak out for its own beauty.
